Matthew es un chico aplicado y ordenado que sólo aspira a ganarse una codiciada beca en Georgetown. Pero a la casa del lado llega una chica rubia y voluptuosa que le roba el corazón. Ambos inician un conato de romance, hasta que un amigo le cuenta a Matthew la terrible verdad: la chica es una ex-actriz porno, y una bastante famosa.
Si bien la trama y el entorno de esta comedia corresponden al típico filme adolescente tontón, La Chica de al Lado es más pilla y sutil de lo que parece en un primer vistazo. Está un paso más adelante del humor misógino y grueso de American Pie y, en muchos sentidos, es el filme gemelo perfecto de Chicas Pesadas. O sea, no te la pierdas.
